PalitBay is a community marketplace designed to help people buy, sell, and swap items locally. To keep PalitBay safe, legal, and useful for everyone, certain items and activities are not permitted.

By creating a listing, you confirm that the item and transaction comply with this policy, our Terms & Conditions, and applicable laws.

PalitBay may remove any listing that violates these rules and may restrict or suspend accounts that repeatedly or seriously violate them.

🚫 Prohibited Items

The following items may not be listed, sold, offered, or exchanged on PalitBay:

Illegal Drugs and Controlled Substances

• Illegal drugs and narcotics
• Controlled substances offered without the required legal authorization
• Drug paraphernalia intended for illegal drug use

Weapons and Explosives

• Firearms, ammunition, explosives, and other prohibited weapons
• Items that are illegal to possess, sell, or transfer under applicable law
• Weapon parts or accessories where their sale or transfer is prohibited

Stolen or Unlawfully Obtained Property

• Stolen goods
• Property obtained through fraud, theft, or other unlawful means
• Items whose ownership or lawful possession cannot reasonably be established

Counterfeit and Fraudulent Goods

• Counterfeit branded products
• Fake documents, certificates, IDs, or licenses
• Products falsely represented as genuine, authentic, or officially licensed

Sexual and Exploitative Material

• Pornographic material
• Sexual content involving minors
• Any material involving sexual exploitation or abuse
• Services involving sexual exploitation

Dangerous or Hazardous Materials

• Explosives
• Highly dangerous chemicals or toxic substances
• Other materials that present an unreasonable risk to users or the public

Personal and Confidential Information

• Government-issued identification documents offered for sale or transfer
• Credit cards, bank cards, financial account information, passwords, or similar credentials
• Personal information belonging to another person

Illegal Services and Activities

• Services intended to facilitate illegal activity
• Fraudulent schemes
• Hacking, credential theft, or unauthorized access services
• Any other goods or services whose sale or provision is unlawful

⚠️ Restricted Items

Some items may be legal to own but are restricted on PalitBay because their sale, transfer, or use may be subject to additional laws, regulations, permits, age requirements, or safety considerations.

• Medicines and pharmaceutical products
• Medical devices and regulated health products
• Alcohol and other regulated products
• Tobacco and nicotine products
• Live animals
• Wildlife, protected species, or products made from protected wildlife
• Certain agricultural, biological, or plant materials
• Items requiring government permits or licenses
• Financial products or services
• Tickets, memberships, accounts, or digital services where resale is restricted
• Products subject to special safety or regulatory requirements

If an item is subject to legal restrictions, the responsibility for complying with those requirements rests with the person offering the item.

PalitBay may refuse or remove a listing whenever it is unclear whether the item can legally be offered.

🐾 Animals & Wildlife

Listings involving animals must comply with applicable animal welfare, wildlife, environmental, and local regulations.

PalitBay does not permit listings involving protected wildlife, endangered species, illegally captured animals, or products derived from protected species.

Where permits or other legal requirements apply, users are responsible for obtaining and maintaining them.

💊 Medicines & Health Products

Users should not use PalitBay to offer prescription medicines, controlled medicines, unapproved medical products, or other regulated health products where their sale or transfer is restricted.

Do not make misleading claims about the ability of a product to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent a disease or medical condition.

📱 Digital Accounts & Personal Credentials

The sale, transfer, or exchange of accounts or credentials may be prohibited where it creates a security, fraud, or ownership risk.

Never include passwords, authentication codes, recovery codes, banking credentials, or other confidential information in a listing or message.

📋 Listings Must Be Accurate

Listings must accurately describe the item being offered.

• Do not misrepresent an item's condition, authenticity, ownership, or origin.
• Do not use misleading photographs or descriptions.
• Do not conceal important defects.
• Do not advertise one item while offering another.
• Do not list an item that is not actually available.
• Do not use PalitBay to facilitate a transaction that violates applicable law.

🚨 Reporting a Prohibited Listing

If you believe a listing violates this policy, you can report it using the Report Listing option available on the listing.

When a listing is reported, PalitBay may review the listing and, where appropriate, the account associated with it.

We may remove a listing, request additional information, restrict an account, suspend an account, or take other appropriate action depending on the circumstances.

If you believe an item or activity presents an immediate danger or involves an apparent criminal offense, you should also contact the appropriate authorities.

⚖️ PalitBay's Right to Act

PalitBay reserves the right to remove, restrict, or refuse any listing that we reasonably believe:

• Violates this policy
• Violates our Terms & Conditions or other PalitBay rules
• May be illegal
• Creates a significant safety or security risk
• Is misleading, fraudulent, or deceptive
• Could expose PalitBay or its users to legal or regulatory risk

PalitBay may also update this policy from time to time as the marketplace develops and applicable laws or regulations change.

👤 User Responsibility

PalitBay provides the marketplace platform but does not take ownership of items listed by users and does not become a party to transactions between users.

Each user is responsible for ensuring that their listings, purchases, sales, swaps, and other activities comply with applicable laws and regulations.

If you are unsure whether an item is permitted, do not list it until you have confirmed that it can legally be offered and transferred.
